The newly released Pentax 5-15mm F/2.8-4.6 is a standard zoom lens designed for all areas of photography.
Its compact design ties in with its partner, the Pentax Q which is currently the world's smallest and lightest interchangeable lens digital camera.
The lens covers a wide focal range from 5-15mm which in 35mm format would work out at 27.5-83mm.
The lens features a total of four extra-low dispersion and low-refractive aspherical optical elements in its optics which helps provide a sharp image and reduce any chromatic aberration to a minimum over the entire zoom range.
To photographers who have an interest in macro, it also offers a minimum focusing distance of 30 centimeters to simplify close-up photography.
