The wide perspective of the lens supports new shooting styles and is able to produce stabilised videos, working with active IS (Image Stabilisation) where the video is cropped. It has great close focusing capabilities, with ratios of 3:2 for stills, 16:9 for movies, and 2.35:1 for cinema; all of which a wide-angle zoom helps to capture the whole shot, fitting the needs of hybrid shooters. The lens works well for selfies and vlogging, while its compact body makes it a great option as your go-to always-on lens.

The additional feature of focus breathing suppression enables smooth transitions and further helps to avoid any camera shake displayed on the video. Focus shift and axis shift qualities are prominent when zooming, lending to more refined imagery with even levels of brightness due to a constant f/4 aperture.

Mobile and ergonomic design
