All you have to do is place your smartphone in the StarSense dock and launch the StarSense Explorer app. It only takes 2 minutes to align your phone to the telescope’s optics and then the StarSense Explorer app will produce a list of celestial objects currently visible. 

Then all you have to do is select an object that you wish to view and arrows will appear, on your phone screen, to help guide you towards it. The bullseye will turn green when the object is ready to view.
Let LISA be your guide

The StarSense Explorer app allows your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the night sky.

The app uses the LISA (Lost In Space Algorithm), just like is used for satellites in orbit to correctly orient themselves, to match star patterns.

Other apps that claim they can do this only use the phone’s gyros and accelerometers, which are nowhere near as accurate as LISA technology.
Ultra-stable Altazimuth Mount with Slow Motion Control

The LT 70AZ boasts a sturdy foundation thanks to its ultra-stable altazimuth mount. The telescope is equipped with slip clutches and geared slow motion controls to allow it to move smoothly while zeroing in on the object you wish to observe.
You will be able to track objects across the night sky with just a turn of a few knobs and it is all anchored by an adjustable, full-height tripod.
Impressive detail

The telescope has a large 70mm objective lens that is capable of producing enough light gathering ability to be able to view impressive detail in celestial objects. It is possible to get sharp, bright views of Jupiter’s four Galilean moons, its cloud bands and Great Red Spot, the rings of Saturn, the trapezium in the Orion Nebula, and beautiful Pleiades Open Star Cluster. Highly reflective coatings on both the primary and secondary mirror enhance the views even more.
The LT 70AZ can be used in even light polluted city locations, thanks to the StarSense Explorer app. It is advanced enough to be able to pick out Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, the Orion Nebula and double stars, as well as other famous celestial objects.
